Virtual Christmas Market - Meet The Brands
You can feel it in the air in Dublin, Christmas season is finally here! I wanted to do something a little different this year, as you may know or if you don't follow us yet on Instagram since our lockdown started here in Ireland I have been sharing small businesses on my stories daily. I always try to shop small and shop local as much as possible, but I wanted to take it a step further and use my platform to help support other small businesses as well. A major reason I love to support small businesses is because there is always a great story behind the brands, who sometimes is incredibly just one person! I wanted to share with you a bit about the 20 brands that are part of our virtual Christmas market this year. If you see something you like, check out their shops, reach out to them on social media, share their posts and help spread support of small businesses this year. Without further ado here is a bit about each brand!

6. Farmyard The Label -
The small and timeless collection is completely designed by me and inspired by Motherhood, nature and Ireland. The sewing machine has always been in my life. I grew up with my mother making clothes for me, she taught me how to sew and knit, and I then went on to study textile design in university (NCAD Dublin). It was there where my love of childrenswear was discovered and I went on to design, buy and source for some of the leading childrenswear brands in the world.
Since becoming a mother in 2017 I have had some time to put pen to paper and design the collection I’ve always dreamt about. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!

Littlest is currently teething so I'm up late at the moment as I write this. I studied Photography in college, and also web design. I Gave up work a couple of years ago when I had my first baba and haven't looked back best thing I've ever done. What could be better getting to stay at home with your kiddies, and then do the crafty bits on the side.. at 11pm at night.. when I should be catching up on my sleep 😉🤣 I do a little bit of everything but the last while have stuck to designing prints. It's been a horrible past few months for us all in lockdown and these prints can just brighten up your home a little. Or even better as a pressie to someone to put a little smile on their face. Thanks so checking my page/posts. And thanks to Tory for organising it all ❤️🌹 Stay safe. Use the code xmas10 for 10% off. You can find us at: https://www.etsy.com/shop/rosesandswallows.
10. Sugar & Storm -
Sugar & Storm is a small Irish business that launched in May of this year. It is run by myself- Amy, and my partner Colin. We make sustainable, organic children's clothing with quirky designs that are exclusive to us. Sustainability is very important to us, which is why all our packaging is eco-friendly. So too are the dyes used to print our fabric. I make the clothing myself, using the softest organic cotton jersey. Many of the fabric designs are inspired by my own childhood and my love of the sea. The designs are playful and vibrant and I've been told by people, that they have never come across anything like them before- which were obviously lovely compliments that I was delighted with! :) Our most popular design features Hook Lighthouse, which is in Wexford where we are based. I'm learning from customers that Hook is a special place for so many people. It is also very special to us because one stormy winter's day it's where I came up with the name Sugar & Storm! Colin is responsible for all the tech side of things, his engineer brain is good at that sort of stuff, which is lucky because my creative brain is not! ;) Saying that, I do love a good chat on Instagram, which is the social media platform that we are most active on. You can find us on Instagram.
Our website to view all the unique comfy kid's clothes is www.sugarandstorm.ie Thanks for reading, Amy

My name is Laura, I’m a mum of 3. I make Bubba Baby Covers which are multi-use covers, from covering baby, to shade/drizzle/wind, breast feeding, trolley covers, swing/ high chair cover, whatever you need.
I started making the covers when I wanted to find an alternate cover for my car seat and not a rain cover that would mist up but something I could easily access my baby, so I could have a barrier between my baby and harmful germs, unwanted hands, wind and drizzle.
The material to make Bubba Baby Cover come from Europe as I buy smaller quantities of each so I can have larger ranges/styles and something to suit every mums taste. Find us at: https://www.bubbababy.ie.
